A communications heavyweight, Henningsen brings with him 25 years of cross-cultural experience from his work as a simultaneous interpreter at the European Commission, through which he has been immersed in a highly international environment with a very specific purpose: to create understanding across differences.
This work has had him involved in high stakes meetings with international religious and political VIPs, such as The Dalai Lama, Mikhail Gorbatjov, Ronald Reagan, Angela Merkel, Tony Blair and Anwar Sadat, etc..
With an innate sense of musicality that reaches far beyond the spoken word, Henningsen understands the rhythm and structures of interpersonal, cultural, and organizational dynamics, which naturally ranks him as a top communication counselor – nationally as well as internationally.
A firm believer in the strengths of diversity, Henningsen places a strong emphasis on similarities instead of differences, as a means to setting the stage for inspiring, challenging and innovative encounters between individuals and organizations alike. He effortlessly balances his professionalism with a disarming sense of informality that creates the necessary energy, enthusiasm and commitment to progress and growth in his clients.
Through the years, Henningsen has applied his expertise in the areas of leadership communication counseling, facilitating corporate workshops, storytelling and as a keynote speaker addressing the power of open-minded dialogue as a way of creating congruency and harmony between individual professionals and amongst organizations.
In addition to his cross-cultural experience, Henningsen is multi-lingual and fluent in the Scandinavian languages, English, German and French. He is a published author with the book, “Bryd muren: Guide til kommunikation i modvind”, on personal communication, covering issues like cultivating one’s true voice, getting one’s messages across and breaking barriers of criticism, skepticism and lack of concentration in one’s audience.
